Maxximus aiming for MotoGP

Maxximus Vikingasköld firar seger i road racing med pokaler och Yamaha

16-year-old road racing talent Maxximus “Maxxi” Vikingasköld from Filipstad, Sweden, has signed with Yamaha Motor Scandinavia for the 2025 season, continuing as official ambassador and rider for the team.

Following a 2024 season where he became the youngest-ever senior Swedish Championship (SM) silver medalist in the Supersport 600 class, he has set his sights on the Swedish championship title and international success. His goal is to win the Swedish Championship and become the first Swedish rider to win a World Championship (VM) in the highest class.

Vikingasköld, often referred to as a “super talent,” has consistently broken age records and has been part of the Yamaha team since 2021. His 2025 campaign is focused on transitioning from national to international competition, with planned participation in the Spanish Championship (CEV Superbike). He rides a Yamaha YZF-R6 in the 600cc class and will test a 3-cylinder 900cc R-series bike. He is supported by a strong team including coach and mentor Christoffer Bergman, a known VM rider.
